Jamaica’s Blue Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed landscape of verdant and misty peaks, has an unmatched heritage in the coffee world. The coffee that thrives in this glorious part of the Caribbean has been celebrated for centuries for its mellow, chocolatey flavour. Smooth and beautifully balanced, Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee consistently ranks among the best (and priciest) in the world.
Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is strictly regulated, yet not all coffee marketed as Jamaica Blue Mountain is in fact the real deal. Many are blends that include only a fraction of genuine Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee; others confuse buyers with lower-grade “Jamaica Supreme” beans.
Rest assured, Difference Coffee sources its Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee from Sir John's Peak, an exclusive nano--lot from Wallenford estate, a legendary farm. Not only is our product 100 percent genuine Blue Mountain coffee, it’s also rated as Grade 1 (meaning the biggest and best beans available) by the Jamaican Coffee Board.

Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee is nothing short of iconic. Coffee connoisseurs have long recognized the region for growing beans of outstanding quality, with a flavour profile that’s mild yet complex, bold yet smooth, with a sweet nuttiness akin to chocolate truffles.
Coffee has been grown in Jamaica’s Blue Mountains since the early 1700s. The soil and climate conditions in the lush, steep mountains are ideal for coffee, with mild temperatures and an abundance of both sunshine and rain. Furthermore, many of today’s coffee estates have a long heritage of their own, a provenance that’s given them ample time to truly perfect their products.
It’s no wonder genuine Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is so highly prized. The Coffee Industry Board of Jamaica has strict regulations in place to ensure only beans grown in the mountains, within one of four parishes and inside a narrow band of elevation, gets to be called Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee.
